Available boats are the 'Jessica Kate', a 23ft Maycraft CCX powered by a 200HP 4 stroke Yamaha, or 'Harley' - a 33ft Young Brothers powered by a Isuzu 220hp diesel. Offering half-day (4hrs), 3/4 day (6hrs), and full day (8hrs) charters targeting striped bass, bluefish, bonito, false albacore, scup, seabass, and fluke. Great fun for the adventure seeker or the family! We also offer rental kayaks, paddleboards and peddleboards- all great family activities
We will pick you at the Block Island Visitor Center and bring you right to the trails. Plan a sunset ride right on the beach! Guided trail rides around the west side of the island. Ponies for the kids are available, too.

Founded in 1997 when a group of summer and year-round residents came together to save Smuggler's Cove from a developer, the mission of the Block Island Maritime Institute (BIMI) is to provide and foster educational programs and maritime activities including marine science and maritime heritage for residents and visitors on Block Island. Fort Island Kayaks & Paddleboards
Fort Island Kayaks & SUP's is part of Block Island Fishworks and offers one of the best Block Island activities to do during your visit. Explore the Great Salt Pond (New Harbor), the crown jewel of Block Island, on stable and beginner friendly sit-on-top kayaks. Single, tandem, and the new triple kayaks are available. We also have BIC stand up paddle boards (SUP's) for rent for all ages and abilities as well as Hobie Pedalboards... standup boards that you 'pedal'. Groups of 6 or more are encouraged to call ahead for availability/reservations.

The "Hula Dog" is docked in Old Harbor, is available for fishing adventure. Get on board with expert guide, Matt King and his dog Lucy. Charters include 2,3,4,6,8 hour trips. Trips include; inshore, fly fishing, night fishing, sunset trips, circle the island trips, wind farm trips or customize your trip
The Hula Dog is a 27 foot long Center Console “Shamrock” 270 open. This boat is outfitted with console cover. Shielded from the elements, we may run trips on less than mild days.

Pond & Beyond Kayak

Pond and Beyond offers rentals, tours, and basic instruction via Kayak. Also, upon request, other beyond the pond adventures such as hiking, bird watching, and snorkeling. So come kayak with us on the largely undeveloped 900 acre Great Salt Pond. whether you are a neophyte, expert or somewhere in between there is water waiting for you to enjoy.
Daily eco-tours, kid programs, family tours, groups, full moon paddle, sunset paddle, women only. Instruction for beginners. Tour reservations recommended.
Offering; 1 to 2 hour eco tours. Eco family adventures that can be 2 to 4 hours.
