Mitchel Cottage

A two and a half story house with a prominent cross-gabled roof with a wrap around front porch and a two-story salt box ell on the east side. Restored by owners Pat and Tom Doyle with the help of local architect Tracey Dillon, the house features lattice work, balustrades, scalloped barged boards and decorative king posts. The Doyles collected historic photos and documents of the building and have brought back the original exterior details of a significant island home. Summer Hill is a beautiful, old, Block Island farmhouse (1885) with a big yard, wraparound porches and generous interior kitchen/living/dining spaces. It is perfect for family reunions, workshops, retreats, or for most larger groups. Sleeps 20 with ten bedrooms and 5.5 bathroom. Weekly rentals are Monday-Monday during the summer season (late June-early September) for 12,500/week. The rest of June and September is 1500/night with a four night minimum or 7500/week. May and October is 1000/night or 6000/week.
