Luxury Picnic Set-Up Assistant for set up & breakdown

Do you have an eye for perfection ? Do you love beautiful, luxurious things ? I need some help one day a week which varies for setting up and breaking down luxury beach picnics. www.sandandseaevents.com Set up is usally around 4:00 and breakdown around 8:00 or 9:00 pm depending on the location and timing of events. These picnics are for 2 - 12 guests and take approximately 1 1/2 hours to set up and break down. There is a 3 hour gap between set up and breakdown while guests enjoy their picnic. Also food delivery to picnics may be needed. $30.00 per hour incudes light lifting of pillows, candles, pulling wagon down sandy beach. Southeast Light Delights, the award-winning Food Truck at the Southeast Lighthouse, is in need of some low-drama high-spirited help for the 2026 Summer Season.

Communication Director Job Description (part-time)

BIRA is seeking a part-time Communication Director to support BIRA's advocacy work on Block Island. This is a part-time freelance role, that will report to the BIRA President. We anticipate the time commitment to be 20-25 hours per month.

Our ideal candidate will have communications and/or public relations experience and be an excellent writer/editor. This individual should be able to create effective media content across various digital, social and print platforms.

We are recruiting for a Tourism Ambassador to work 20 to 40 hours a week - preferably starting Memorial Day weekend, and with availability to work both weekends and week days.  Shift times vary but the Visitor Center is open 9a-5p.  Hourly rate is $18.50/hr.
Tourism Ambassadors play a key role in creating memorable experiences for visitors to Block Island.
